We have had a wonderful weekend with G&G! The girls have loved seeing them so much! We went and stayed Friday night at the condo with them. Then the next day...we hit the ground running. We went to Disney on Ice (M was dressed as a beautiful white princess, A did not want to dress up.) When we left the Center I repeatedly asked M & A if they needed to go to the bathroom, of course they said No. So we all walked to the parking lot, G&G and Baloney had left for the restaurant, I put the key in the ignition, and you guessed it...A had to go to the bathroom. So, we had to go all the way back to the Center, beg to get back in so she could use the restroom. It was just one of those moments. Well Gpa had a coupon, so we drove down to 7200 South to a new mexican restaurant and it was quite good. Gpa went to the Sportsman Expo and the all the girls went shopping. It was a fun full day!
Sunday we all went to Church. Our meetinghouse will be one of the Stake Centers to broadcast the Draper Temple Dedication. We get to take M with us. G&G went and visited our Uncle and Aunt for awhile. We need to keep their oldest daughter and her hubby in our prayer. Then we had a nice dinner and then...we played games...even my dh! It was another fun night with them. Unforturnately, Baloney left after church, I hope that she feels better.
The BB Game is Tuesday and we are going to dinner with Uncle and Aunt first, then the girls and I will go back up the mountain with G&G and will spend all of Wednesday with them. I wish that you all had come up with us. It has been wonderful.

Temple Openhouse
Our family went to the temple open house yesterday. We had a very good time, but it was very windy. The tour was silent and you were encouraged to keep up with the flow, while there was a lot of people, it was too fast. The girls were completely fascinated with the baptismal font and the oxen. Much discussion was given to whether they were cows, per A. She was committed!! So we decided they were oxen-cows. Both couldn't stop giggling when we went through the men's dressing room and bathroom. The bride room was dubbed the princess room. It was beautiful! The mural in the ordinance rooms were very beautiful. M kept informing me that we were walking in circles, yeah, but we were climbing stairs that kept us going higher. She was fascinated. M wanted to know what was behind the curtain in the veil room...well another curtain, "Is Heavenly Father behind that curtain?" Perceptive! When we entered the celestial room the chandeliers were magnificent. The girls thought that it was beautiful. I got a little teary that my family was all together in the celestial room for the first time. I asked M if it felt like heaven. She rolled her eyes and said no, there isn't furniture in heaven. Why not? "Mom (the duh pause...), heaven is in the clouds and you can't have furniture in the clouds." A girl who keeps me grounded in the reality of Care-a-lot. In the meetinghouse they had set up a very impressive reception area. It carried the same serene feel from the temple. Very impressive. We invited our former neighbor R to come with us, but she couldn't, but asked if we'd take her to the next one. Of course I said yes. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We had to take the girls out of school to do it, and I am glad that we did.
We are so excited about our 4th of July - way to go RED!!!! We are telling the girls tonight. I can't wait to see their reaction. Of course today, hubby is all why didn't we get the better seats? It would have been worth it. Well that's not what he said in the beginning. I think He is getting excited mostly for M and now wants to make it even better for her (which I cannot fault him for.)
Hope that all of you are having a fab day! We are getting ready for hubby's parents to come home from there mini-mission. Please know that you are in our prayers! Love ya...post soon!

Unbirthday
Today is a big day for our oldest. She is having her unbirthday. It has been so fun to watch her plan this for her class. Her teacher really makes a big deal about it, and the kids love it. We ordered special cupcakes with her special colors...pink and red. The red is a new one, but she was so excited. To top it all off, we are bring root beer with birthday cups and napkins (she made sure that we brought napkins...it was cute.)
Since we found out the date, she has made sure that her dad would be there. She even called him at work yesterday to "check his calendar." Last night she could hardly sleep, and today it was her rushing out the door to get to school. Very FUN!
We did receive some bad news, we lost our home that we had an offer on. It was not that bad in the fact that we had really stretched ourselves putting in the size of offer that we did. BUT I really loved that house. It has been the only house that hubby and I have agreed on. He is being so picky! Even our realtor kinda had it out with him. Didn't go over very well....We haven't been out since. Also, our kids did not get in the charter school that we had wanted. It too was in our last home town. I am beginning to think that we are suppose to be somewhere else. Well... a great big good morning to all of you!!! love ya!

FHE - Fasting
We had a wonderful fhe. My oldest has been having a hard time with the fasting concept. Yesterday (fast Sunday) it seemed to be exceptionally difficult (and it doesn't help that her father doesn't fast for health reasons.) So I decided that this whole month fhe would be devoted to learning about fasting. Now I have been fasting and learning about fasting for a very long time, as we all have, but tonight it really brought home the real point of fasting. This is something that I love about the gospel. We all know the basics and understand them. I've listened to countless lessons, testimonies, and read scripture about fasting, and yet tonight the learning just continues. It was great! I even saw my oldest start to understand (at least for our short lesson.) Next we will continue and work on trying to retain her understanding. It just felt really good. The downside is that her dad was too sick and slept through it. But in the spirit of family togetherness, we had fhe on the bed where he was sleeping :) Last we talked about Alma the Younger and the sons of Mosiah; how their parents fasted and prayed for them. They love the stories in the BOM.
We haven't heard anything about our house, but I am still fasting and praying about it. I am ready to be in a home. DH is kinda picky and him and our realtor are getting frustrated with one another. The problem is that our realtor is a family friend, so we (dh) decided that we should take a break...UGH! On the upside, maybe since we aren't actively searching, the house that I really want will finally come through!?! We'll see.....the saga continues......
We are not coming down to SC anytime soon. This month I am in charge of giving sharing time and I hate to ask someone to cover for me if I really don't need them to. The kids don't have any time off in March and our oldest will be getting her tonsils and adnoids out over spring break in april. I'll let y'all know if things change.
Well I love ya and hope that you all have a great night (or day depending on if and when you read this.) I'm about to get on the phone to see if any of you check this anymore, or if it is just me rambling on into the neverending void of the internet. Rambling over...for tonight! :)

25 YEARS!!!!
I had a horrible epiphany (sp?) this afternoon. For 25 years I have obsessed about one issue...can you guess what it is? Yup, you got it. HOLY CRAP! (sorry for the offensive word) but wow! That has been a lot of time wasted (or waisted). It really hit me like a ton of bricks and I am a little sickened by this revelation. So I am done, really really done! I either need to be okay with myself or do something. This has made me really mad! Apparently I need to decide because it is just so wrong to spend so much time and effort on this anymore. Don't you agree?

Happy New Year!
Welcome 2009! I hope that y'all had a wonderful night! We rang in the new year with our oldest, the other one missed it by only 20 minutes. She gave a good fight! We got a new wii toy..the zapper. Hubby really loves it. In fact, the first night with the zapper and his new game apparently required his attention until 2 a.m. The next day he complained all day about a headache... hmmm wonder why. We were going to try and come down to mom's house tonight, but hubby is still not feeling well. We are now going to try and leave in the morning.
I am looking forward to seeing you all again...we need some serious card playing time.
