A G&G Weekend

We have had a wonderful weekend with G&G! The girls have loved seeing them so much! We went and stayed Friday night at the condo with them. Then the next day...we hit the ground running. We went to Disney on Ice (M was dressed as a beautiful white princess, A did not want to dress up.) When we left the Center I repeatedly asked M & A if they needed to go to the bathroom, of course they said No. So we all walked to the parking lot, G&G and Baloney had left for the restaurant, I put the key in the ignition, and you guessed it...A had to go to the bathroom. So, we had to go all the way back to the Center, beg to get back in so she could use the restroom. It was just one of those moments. Well Gpa had a coupon, so we drove down to 7200 South to a new mexican restaurant and it was quite good. Gpa went to the Sportsman Expo and the all the girls went shopping. It was a fun full day!

Sunday we all went to Church. Our meetinghouse will be one of the Stake Centers to broadcast the Draper Temple Dedication. We get to take M with us. G&G went and visited our Uncle and Aunt for awhile. We need to keep their oldest daughter and her hubby in our prayer. Then we had a nice dinner and then...we played games...even my dh! It was another fun night with them. Unforturnately, Baloney left after church, I hope that she feels better.

The BB Game is Tuesday and we are going to dinner with Uncle and Aunt first, then the girls and I will go back up the mountain with G&G and will spend all of Wednesday with them. I wish that you all had come up with us. It has been wonderful.

Temple Openhouse

Our family went to the temple open house yesterday. We had a very good time, but it was very windy. The tour was silent and you were encouraged to keep up with the flow, while there was a lot of people, it was too fast. The girls were completely fascinated with the baptismal font and the oxen. Much discussion was given to whether they were cows, per A. She was committed!! So we decided they were oxen-cows. Both couldn't stop giggling when we went through the men's dressing room and bathroom. The bride room was dubbed the princess room. It was beautiful! The mural in the ordinance rooms were very beautiful. M kept informing me that we were walking in circles, yeah, but we were climbing stairs that kept us going higher. She was fascinated. M wanted to know what was behind the curtain in the veil room...well another curtain, "Is Heavenly Father behind that curtain?" Perceptive! When we entered the celestial room the chandeliers were magnificent. The girls thought that it was beautiful. I got a little teary that my family was all together in the celestial room for the first time. I asked M if it felt like heaven. She rolled her eyes and said no, there isn't furniture in heaven. Why not? "Mom (the duh pause...), heaven is in the clouds and you can't have furniture in the clouds." A girl who keeps me grounded in the reality of Care-a-lot. In the meetinghouse they had set up a very impressive reception area. It carried the same serene feel from the temple. Very impressive. We invited our former neighbor R to come with us, but she couldn't, but asked if we'd take her to the next one. Of course I said yes. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We had to take the girls out of school to do it, and I am glad that we did.

We are so excited about our 4th of July - way to go RED!!!! We are telling the girls tonight. I can't wait to see their reaction. Of course today, hubby is all why didn't we get the better seats? It would have been worth it. Well that's not what he said in the beginning. I think He is getting excited mostly for M and now wants to make it even better for her (which I cannot fault him for.)

Hope that all of you are having a fab day! We are getting ready for hubby's parents to come home from there mini-mission. Please know that you are in our prayers! Love ya...post soon!
